To appear on the AoCDM Principal Contractor register, you will be assessed against the UK Government’s PC Competency standard, created by the British Standards Institution (BSI) PAS8672:2022
PAS8672:2022 specifies four areas of PD competencies;
- Roles, Responsibilities and Competencies
- Specific Minimum Competencies
- Behaviours
- Competence Management
This standard sets out two levels of PC competency;
- Competencies to manage Principal Contractor duty holder functions under CDM2015
- Competencies to manage Higher-Risk Buildings projects
